    Horns probably don't bother her.

That's the thing here in FL with all the retirees and snow birds who sometimes have momentary brain burps, a honk only makes things worse, they get startled, it's best to just back off a distance or wait 2 whole seconds for their brain fog to clear.

Nah...and just from watching how my friends react in similar situations I'm pretty patient!

Right...which is why I hate that my horn is not capable of taps.

Having spent several years in metro Detroit it became obvious the Detroit automakers had wired brakes and horn together. Step on the brakes and horn goes off.

    OK...on the OT:

A Tesla Model 3 sedan that crashed into a truck on a Florida highway in March, killing its driver, had its Autopilot semi-autonomous feature engaged, according to a new report from the National Transportation Safety Board. The driver is at least the fourth person to die in an Autopilot-related crash.

The answer is simple...don't test the vehicles in Florida!

Yeah, with the Tesla it's not really "self-driven", it's controlled by an algorithm written by Tesla, so to be accurate it is "tesla driven", they can remotely turn features on and off, and of course store all of your driving data, including what they glean from the on-board video/audio of you.

Consumer Reports warns on Tesla's Autopilot

Consumer Reports posts a negative review of Tesla's (TSLA -4.3%) new Autopilot software update, saying it creates a potential safety risk for drivers.

CR on Tesla: "We found that Navigate on Autopilot lagged far behind a human driver’s skill set: The feature cut off cars without leaving enough space and even passed other cars in ways that violate state laws, according to several law enforcement representatives CR interviewed for this report. As a result, the driver often had to prevent the system from making poor decisions... Despite Tesla’s promises that it will have full self-driving technology by the end of next year, our experience with Navigate on Autopilot suggests it will take longer."

Humans are under-rated. They are working hard to convince us that AI can do things better. No way.
