Actually while this one was bought new I did get it during an inventory clearance sale and I bought it just before Obama's 'cash for clunkers' program came out so I wondered if I had waited would I have gotten a better deal. The answer was nope, I actually saved a couple of thousand more over what cash for clunkers would have offered.
...and as an epilogue to that story, if I had went with the clunker program my good working but older mini van would have been destroyed. So flash forward to a couple of months ago when I go to my local Sherwin-Williams store for some paint and I see what appears to be my old vehicle (even the 'fish' on the back) in the parking lot.
I went in and there were no customers so I asked an employee who's van it was...long story but it was his and it WAS my old one that I had traded in! We traced the history and it had wound up in several cities but came back to my neighborhood and even tho it had some work done it was still doing good. :)
