As some of you know, we've been in a battle with the state since Covid. While the gambling casinos were PACKED from wall to wall in the foothills throughout the pandemic and strip clubs remained open, churches came under attack.
In fact, someone reported my local church for having indoor services. The county came and told our pastor it would be a $5000 fine each time we didn't comply.
So we went back outside under the tent last month. They came and slapped up with a $1,200 fine because the praise singers were not wearing mask.
So we shut down for about 3-4 weeks and drove to another county about an hour away.
Mind you, we are careful. We space the seats apart, encourage mask, urge those with poor health not to attend etc.
You may have seen in the news 2 local pastors were threatened with jail. One is right around the corner from us near the SF 49er stadium. It's a 6,000 member Baptist church. We participated in rallies in front of the court house for these pastors, prayer gatherings etc.
