How much has the pandemic affected your lifestyle?

Everyone here has different situations going on so I was just wondering how the pandemic has affected your lifestyle. Personally, not much. I mean there are inconveniences but nothing big has changed at least for me. How about you?

Nothing really here that I can think of either. Other than Mrs fuego will hardly go out to eat now. Even though she got it about 3 weeks ago. She got checked and was positive. I got kind of a stopped up nose and lost my taste, so I'm pretty sure I had it too. I quarantined with her. She was out of work for two weeks. She's an oncology nurse.

We are only eating out once a week now and then it's fast food in the car. Mr C does all the shopping and I get to WM about once every 6 weeks. We don't see dd or her family much at all. That is the worst part for me.

I watched a few epsodes of Kitchen Nightmares and that makes me not desire to eat in restaurants any more!

No work for nearly a year. There simply are no tourists in Israel for me to guide. So I have been doing volunteer work, baking, fixing stuff, reading books and many other relatively light activities. And I had the Covid last March with the result that I am having breathing issues ever since.
I've had the virus and I have had two doses of the vaccine. Can I go out and play now? (We are in another lockdown until the end of January 2021.)

Hasn't affected our home or lives except my wife when she has face to face realtime visits with her wards and must do the PROTOCOL. Me? I get ticked off every time I get to a store front and have to go back for a mask because I forgot.

"I get ticked off every time I get to a store front and have to go back for a mask because I forgot." Lol, me too Brother. I haven't got it, my oldest daughter has got it and is doing the vaccine as well. She is a Mental Heath RN, think her job folk required her to get that. Idk. Her mother & step dad got it. They are all neighbors. My Next door neighbor lady "Cricket" is her Legal name, she got it. My son's family no one has got it there. I give God the glory for that hedge of protection, for sure!

My wife and I got it in mid-Nov during our firearm deer season. And yes, I went hunting anyways being it was a mild case for us thank you Jesus. We are both double "high risk". Pfffft.

How has the covid thingy affected me? The absolute WORST of it is our witch governor. Our two favorite restaurants in town have closed FOREVER.

Let's see ... for us, there was no income for about 6 months. I had food, we had savings, I discovered Aldi's (super low prices) so we had fresh produce to eat.

I learned how to fight depression from not being able to see anyone. You never know how much isolation gets to you.

I haven't physically seen my children for over a year now. We last saw each other Nov. 2019. They live in Ontario (Canada) and the border is closed. With Trudeau I'm sure it going to be at least a year before he opens the border even a tiny bit. Sorry, but video chats are not the same.

The same goes for my mom - I haven't seen her for almost 2 years now. I usually get up to see her spring/early summer. I didn't get to do that last year. I doubt I'll get to do it even now - she's does 99% of every thing contactless. She's been isolating with her husband since March, so I'm going to guess that they will probably live out their days in that way. Totally sucks.

I had Covid mid-November. Over half our church got it - we are mask-free and not social distancing since July. (Prior to that we were meeting outside maintaining 6 feet social distance, and a few were wearing masks.) No one died. We had a two of our less healthy elderly end up in hospital for a while.

The real damage that I'm seeing is the mental health of some of the elderly people who don't get out. A woman in our church has her parents living with her, but they are not a part of our church, and don't have any friends in the area. They don't go and visit their friends because everyone is afraid of the 'rona. And now all their talk is about dying because there's no point in living. My heart goes out to them and the family.

Our homeschool hybrid has been open and operating mask-free without social distancing. I hear stories from DH's work colleagues about how their school age children are not doing well because no school for almost a year. In our area schools just started opening up again, and several teachers I know are saying virtual learning was a complete bust. Children did not learn, and they are all a year behind.

So, other than that, we have learned to shop a lot less - just because during the extreme lockdown we had to do everything online except groceries.

I hate having to wear the useless mask in stores.

I'm pretty much a "Home Body" so besides the fact that I wear a *mask* everywhere I go, there's not much difference in my lifestyle

We stopped eating out (a couple of times a month), about a year before Covid struck, so that's no big whoop, and I mostly just went to Kroger, Walmart, Costco, and Church any way.

EDITED TO ADD: I do miss not being able to kiss and see the smiles of my friends and church family - But I "Zoom" with my Sisters every other Friday, and that's good enuf for me.
