So they *think* they have a vaccine in less then a year, but some how they can't cure cancer or any other diseases?

When I was young there was no cure for Morbus Hodgkin, today the chances to survive are 90%
There has been a lot of changes in the treatement of cancer in the last decades.
And there are other disease that today can be healed that was not the case when I started to work in the hospital in 1973.
But yes, some disease can not be cured.
Some can be treated better like Parkinson, others there is still no healing like Osteoporose, ALS etc
Vacinations are not a cure or healing, they are to prevent something. Preventing is in my eyes easier, more successful and cheaper
