It is a book that has changed my life.
Jesus was buried. I bury mine.
Another use for me is I cut passages out and tape them in my sermon notes.

Do you dig it out after 3 days?

I would never be able to burn a Bible anymore than cremate someone. For me that does not show respect. Everyone I know buries their Bible. It may seem comical to someone here, but I never thought of doing it any other way. I have been laughed at before and especially on this forum. So have at it if it makes you feel better.

Everyone here made good points and I can see where it's all right to dispose of it in any manner you see fit but I agree with Curly.
I never really thought about it before because I've never had to dispose of a damaged Bible but I would lean towards cremating it, kind of like what you do with the American flag out of respect for what it stands for.

Sorry, I did not want to hurt your feelings. And I was not laughing at you at all.

Yep, cause missionaries want what we'd like to chuck away but are too legalistic to.

The Bibles I donate are either brand new or close to it. I tend to buy the new versions and then stick to what I already have. I don't buy expensive Bibles, my main requirement is that the pages be sewn rather than glued in. Now days I am always looking for large or giant print.
