    Your typing/keyboarding style

    I'm curious.

What's your typing style? Hunt and peck? 2 fingers? 4 fingers?

Or full on 10 digit typing.

I do full on 10 digit typing that I learned in high school. Probably can still do 40-50 wpm when I get going (I know that's not that great). My family will sometimes comment on the flurry of keys when we're watching a movie together but I have one eye on the TV and one on the laptop screen.

I had a touch typing course during conscription and graduated with 40+ wpm. I still do the same basic thing but it's not perfectly correct anymore. But I still type that fast or faster.

10 digit typing at about 55-60 wpm. I've typed so much that I know when I've made a mistake and correct it without looking. I worked with a woman at a newspaper office who could type 80-90 wpm....no mistakes. She was even that fast incorporating numbers (keyboard not 10 key).

My top speed was 57 wpm in middle school. Now I do well to hit 20. I still use the old time home keys with a mix of hunt and peck. I always struggled with ring man and pinkie, maybe they were slightly short or weak. I find using a computer keyboard easier than a type writer.

80 is about as fast as I can go in both English and Norwegian but it's quite tiring in the long run.

30-40 words a minute, 8 digit typing. The pinkies get left behind.

I, too, had the typing class.. so I use that. I haven't a clue what the speed is, don't particularly care.

I don't know what speed I type at, but it's relatively fast, and I use all 10 fingers. If I have to use a lot of numbers for something, then I like to use the number pad to the right of the keyboard, but if I'm just throwing in the occasional number I will use the ones above the keyboard.
