Covid Comeback. Thoughts?
So, there's allegedly been a spike in cases again. I was on a flight last Wednesday and I've never seen them so strict about wearing a mask.
In fact, they told us if we didn't wear one, we could forfeit ever flying with the airlines again.
I'll go ahead and error on the side of caution but I'm a bit suspicious. The timing seems weird. Or is it just me?
Some believe they are giving out fake reports and false test results. IDK

The more they test, the more cases they uncover. The death toll is a far more reliable number, in developed countries.

Provided they're accurate. There was a 30 year old who got in the media here for being our youngest victim. A later report said that he tested negative to Covid-19 (Tests reveal Australian 30-year-old did not die from Covid-19 | RNZ News) but that info is hard to find.

I had just read that myself. Not that there are actually more, they're just testing more.

One of our states has had a dramatic jump in cases and some are wilfully ignoring regulations to isolate.
It is a more liberal leaning state and many marched in the protests so there could be some more cases in the near future
It's actually pathetic how many did march in protest around Australia considering the virus is still around

After allowing protest marches for BLM we have this today:
Premier warns cops will go 'door to door' to enforce COVID-19 limits
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has said authorities are willing to go "door to door" to enforce coronavirus restrictions after a spate of new infections.
The warning came as he announced at-home restrictions on gatherings would be re-imposed.
From midnight tomorrow until midnight on Sunday, July 12, gatherings in peoples' homes can include no more people than the residents and up to five guests.

Other states are different. We're having family around tomorrow as out limit is now 20.

He was weak in chastising the protestors due to PC but now has to act like a police state for normal citizens

Yeah, people should wear "I'm with antifa" t-shirts so that the police know who they shouldn't bother.

I don't know, but it does seem to me that in some states, like Florida and California, the fatality rates are stubbornly remaining high even though those rates are lower than their April peaks. Whereas in other states like New York the daily fatality numbers have declined so much (from 1000 to 25) that it looks like the virus is "under control".

Try :
COVID-19
and select different states under "United States of America". The "total deaths" projected by Oct 1 chart is interesting.
