Thread: How Many Of You Still On Lockdown?

How Many Of You Still On Lockdown?

We are pretty much back to normal here. Meaning, we have garage sales, few are wearing masks (me when I absolutely must but will only go to stores that aren't tight about it), not so many walking dogs anymore, restaurants open, salons are soon.

    What can't you do?

Church and funerals are now 50.
    Weddings 20.
But you can have protests about things that happened on the other side of the world.

    Plenty of toilet paper, too?

Here in NJ, indoor gatherings are capped at 25% of capacity or 50 people, whichever is lower. Face masks and six-feet spacing still required. This applies to church services but not to indoor dining and indoor entertainment such as movie theaters and concert halls which are still closed.

I'm thoroughly done with all of it.

I look at every building for what their policy for masks is.. if it says "recommend" I never do. ever.

    I'm waiting to be challenged.

Don't have a clue what stage of reopening we are in, 3 I think. Some restaurants are open but most are still doing take out. The drive thru lines are all pretty long. The Curlys are still mostly staying in.
The number of cases in OK are still going up. There were 158 new cases yesterday.

I don't believe we've had one in two weeks now.

We were also up 5 deaths. Usually we have 4 or fewer and often we have days without any. Maybe people are getting careless, I don't know.

I have not been in lock down mode, just do the usual things as always. I don't like seeing fear in the faces of people who think if they get within a foot of someone they will die etc. One older man was going down the wrong way according to the arrow on the floor, and the other older man was going down the right way... we heard yelling, calling for security... my first thought was protesters in the store. The older man going the right way yelled at the other older man, grabbed the front of his basket and lifted it up to try to turn it the right way.... no scuffles, just yelling. I talked to the police man who sits in his car outside the walmart close to where I live. He has been a cop for 5 years. He told me that last week at the protest downtown he was face to face with someone who was screaming at him for "killing black children". He told me he let them know that he had never killed anyone and hope to never have to do that. We talked a bit, told him to hang in there, many people are behind him. I am done here with the fear they push in WA State due to what has been going on with the controlling of us like it has been. Let alone, the governor did not know what was taking place in Seattle he said. Funny how the mayor and her cronies banned plastic straws in Seattle but it is ok to do what is going on now......... lock down here, a joke.................
