This the med-speak thing. Yes, wearing a mask will prevent the spread of Wuhan flu. Now, technically you could say that wearing a mask will not prevent YOU from getting Wuhan flu but wearing a mask will prevent YOU from spreading it so YES wearing masks does prevent or slow down the spread of Wuhan virus. Why insist on half truths, Orwellian speak? We are supposed to believe medical people?

No, a mask per se does not prevent you from spreading the corona virus. You would need a special mask. What you normally see is what we call a surgegical mask. If you cough or sneezes you spread the virus through the mask.
Nobody has to believe the medical people, I myself am critical
There are till now no worldwide big researches showing that wearing a mask prevents from passing the virus on.

The flu in 1918/19 that killed 30-45 million people is not called Kansas flu, so why call this flu after Wuhan?

After Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston began requiring that nearly everyone in the hospital wear masks, new coronavirus infections diagnosed in its staffers dropped by half — or more.

Brigham and Women's epidemiologist Dr. Michael Klompas said the hospital mandated masks for all health care staffers on March 25, and extended the requirement to patients as well on April 6.

"When we first began our universal masking policy, we had 12 to 14 new infections per day among our health care workers," he said. "And then after we instituted employee masking, that number dropped down to around eight."

It dropped still further to about six new infections a day once patients had to wear masks, too.

Yes! That was me. Cuz it's impossible to breathe fully in those things, especially when I'm racing through the grocery store to get my food and get out before the virus gets me!

Seriously though, I saw a news article where a person had an automobile accident because he was driving while wearing an N95 mask. He had passed out.

There are rumors of tracking via cellphone here in the USA. If this were to occur, suddenly many would find a way to leave their phones at home. I would be among the first.

I shop at hardware stores and grocery stores and only wore a mask once and that was for Walmart.

I wear a bandana like the wild west bandits wore.
