Australia is doing exceptionally well and things are looking good to get back to normal quicker than expected.
The state I live in is better than the others
Yes, I was a bit surprised given the data that you mentioned.
But the governor did warn the state to "not let a few knuckleheads ruin it for
the rest of us" by violating social-distancing norms. We'll see how it goes.
"Don't let a few knuckleheads ruin it for the rest of us," Murphy said during his daily coronavirus press briefing in Trenton. "This upcoming weekend, with the reopening of our parks and golf courses, is a crucial test. We are placing tremendous trust in you to keep up your social distancing. I will not hesitate to reverse course and close parks again."
Murphy again said he's urging people to all wear masks to face coverings, even though they are not mandated.
Golf courses are also permitted to open starting at dawn on Saturday. And both parks and golf courses will also be under other social-distancing restrictions.
"We'll be closely monitoring the situations at our parks and golf courses this weekend," Murphy said. "We're trying to let some steam off here. Folks have been cooped up for weeks on end. We just ask you to please do it responsibly."
Murphy also said that if New Jersey residents can handle reopening of parks and golf courses while maintaining social distancing, it makes it easier to roll back other restrictions in the future.
"We're in a little bit of an experimental mode here," Murphy said. "This is a big weekend."

The situation in Israel is improving rapidly. I am now allowed to travel anywhere in the country. I am still required to wear a mask when in public though. Our congregation will still be meeting on-line this week. The offices of Bridges For Peace are open but we have some limits about how close we can be to each other. A couple of our shared offices will have to decide which one will continue to work from home. Our home repair crew is facing some challenges since they are not allowed to enter most homes. Delivery people have found some ways to make deliveries without entering homes.

Took a little ride to the Galilee today. I couldn't get into any of the churches but I did manage to get to a boat dock. The water level is the highest I've ever seen and that is saying something since I have been a tour guide here for more than 20 years. We have had a wonderfully wet winter and the last 5 years of drought have been relegated to the past. I managed to get a coffee and a sandwich at the Aroma coffee shop and did a picnic with my wife near the Yardenit (Jordan River baptismal site.) We are not done with the Covid19 panic yet but the end is near. (Double meaning intended.)
Atlanta opened up restaurants this last week. The wife and I thought we would support business recovery and went to a Chilies. Every other table was x-ed out. There were about 6 or 7 tables with people - we had a good meal - waitresses all wearing masks and us too.
Flying back from Europe once we transited in a Muslim country and I saw a woman in a full face mask with a can of drink. She's pull the bottom of the mask forward and slip the drink under it. One of those horrible, illegal plastic straw things made the process much easier.
We then had to transit though another airport and the full face mask was gone.
Speaks for itself.
