When I was 10 at my aunt house told never play with matches. So when she went inside was outside playing, took 5 gallons of gas poured in swimming kiddy pool no water straight gas lit a Roman candle. Aimed at gas pool blew up the shed and pool and boy that woman run that fast. Say she made sure I want forget it she gave new color on my butt old fashioned whooping.

    Oh my goodness!

I was always pretty good at skating punishment for crimes and misdeeds. I did want to start a little fire at a park one day, with my brother and a few other neighbor kids. Thankfully we knew nothing about need DRY grass, DRY sticks and there sure wasn't much tinder to get a fire started. Neighbor saw us and we ran all the way home as fast as we could. My brother got blamed because he still had the matches in his pocket.

When my brother and I were real young (probably 4 and 6) we climbed into a garbage dumpster. We both got severely punished for that. I don't remember much about that, except I became intimate with the quilt on my bed, because I was grounded for a long time. Of course, at 6, what is a long time? I certainly don't remember.

I started a field fire, not intentionally, I was just playing with matches at about age 7, lots of fire trucks. My mom ratted me out to the officials. I was threatened with "bad boy school" by police. I don't know if that was the stupidest thing I did but so far the topic is drifting toward fires.

I actually tried to start the woods on fire on purpose one time when I was about 8 because I thought it would be cool to watch it burn. But it didn't work.

I did some dumb things as a kid but the most dangerous and scary was swearing at my older brother with a really vile word. My Dad heard me and beat the living life out of me

I survived by the grace of God

I understand what Paul's beatings felt like

Reminds of the only time I was on jury duty adjudicating whether a person was mentally fit to stand trial for starting a fire.
After observing him he acted and spoke like a 8 year old so we had to declare he was mentally unfit.

    Two things come to mind:

First one--I was, I think about seven or eight years old and I was over my great-uncle and aunt's house (mom and GM were at work). I was outside playing with a ball and it accidently rolled into the street. I went and chased after it, but my great-uncle saw me running after it by myself and he ran and got me. He spanked me for that (he was the type that if something had happened to me, he would have wanted to die himself--that's how much he was upset about it)

Second one, involving the same great-uncle--he used the chocolate-bar version of Ex-Lax (I don't know if they even make that anymore) and I would sneak into his room and eat some of it. The punishment would be self-explanatory
