Yep, which is why I stopped buying knick-knacks several years ago - No more yard sales for me - I've become quite the "Minimalist" in my old age.

Edited to Add: That turtle is kinda cute, however.

    Love the turtle!

I don't buy knick knacks myself. Now and then dd buys me something pretty. I'm always looking for ways to simplify my housework, so I rarely add anything that will need dusted.

Making a new thread, so, do you enjoy knick knacks or are your shelves bare?

BTW, Mr tortoise is a lamp, does that still qualify as a knick knack? ;)

Here's what he looks like lit up:

I'd go for him as a lamp.. but not just something to sit.

    he's really cute.

He does make a cute lamp!

Knick knacks...hmm... I'm quirky, I'm more interested in hobbies, reading and the internet than I am in decorating. We bought our mobile home new 13 years ago and I don't have anything hanging on the walls. I don't like holes in the walls.

I'd rather pursue my interests than do housework.

The only knick knacks I have are ones that I've been given, or inherited. I just looked around my den, and couldn't find anything other than pictures that I purchased.

I used to but after we downsized, no more...anythime I see something cute I tell myself that would look great at someone else's home. My essentially tiny house has to remain clutter free..

After watching Madame Blueberry's and the Vegie Tales Stuff Mart video my life changed.. :))

I don't tend to buy knick knacks, but I am looking for a few pictures to replace some I don't like in the mobile home we just bought. I also buy jigsaw puzzles and cross stitch supplies at yard sales. Also buy useful stuff. I'm currently watching for a book case, some linens, cookie sheets, etc.
