Snow in the South
I know some of you don't understand why we buy bread and milk, and usually go pretty nuts here in the South when it snows, so I thought I would share my thoughts.
In the South, we really don't get a lot of snow, so it's almost like a celebration of sorts. It's only gonna last a few days, a week at most, and then we go back to our normally scheduled program. EVERYTHING shuts down when it snows, so if we don't have bread and milk, there's a very real possibility we won't have any for a few days. We also buy alcohol (if we're drinkers) and junk food (if we're foodies.) Snow days are like holidays, we'll sit at home, play in the snow, and enjoy some time off.
As to why we go nuts....well, we can't drive in snow, because we don't get much practice. BUT a true Southerner can drive in a Summer rainstorm without batting an eye!

I always like the ones where we get an inch or two and then the next day it's totally gone. Snow without the hassle.

My selfie gift to you from this past April 15. Just remember that hot, humid perma-sweat weather you had last summer. This is what memories are made of. Be careful out there.
