Found a milksnake in the sanctuary in Charlevoix, a milksnake in the sanctuary in Clarkston, so this big Eastern Garter snake in the kitchen is rather thematic of my mistry.

I found a baby snake in the basement not too long ago. I thought it was a copperhead. After looking it up I found out it was a brown snake and as babies are confused with copperheads a lot. After I found that out I wish I had caught it and let it go instead of killing it.

On the other hand, when you find a baby snake, where is the mama?!

I had to remove those snakes and didnt want the smell or mess. Having one dead in a mousetrap is novel.

Ok, heading up to Copper Harbor with Hummer to taste some dirt on world class mountain bike trails.

But then, if I wanted to be safe I’d ride the sidewalks. My struggle is with being tempted on the double black diamond trails out of curiosity and fascination this aint no trail riding, this is mountain bike riding.

The trails are absolutely fantastic. The shuttle van to the top of the mountain wasnt scheduled to run so I had to either ride the road to the top or start at the bottom of “The Flow” for a 3mi ride up. I opted for trails. This was an advanced trail of berms, boardwalks and bridges. It would have been more fun to start at the top though this was crazy fun and a huge rush to ride very technical trails that are in the top 5 worldwide. No cell service so Strava app was kaput. Probably climbed 1500ft in that hour ride before I bailed out and took the gravity trail back down. Awesome ride.

Our final stop on this UP tour is Straits State Park. This is more geared to families. We are tucked in with tents and popups. And you just cant beat this view:
