Inspector Frost taught us what porkies are!
I love the word "daft." As in "What? Are you daft???"
I like "cheeky" too. And "Eh, what?" "I say, old boy...", "Cheerio."

Yesterday I finally discovered what "bangs" are. Oh my goodness it's just a fringe!? You have *a* fringe! How can you call it "bangs" !? What!? Honestly for all these years I knew it was somehow hair related but had never been able to figure out what it actually meant
Thought you guys would be amused by my discovery
You're never too old to learn new things! When I was a teenager we hosted an exchange student from England. I thought it was REALLY strange that she drank her cola with no ice, and that her name was Winn. I don't think I was very nice to her. We wrote for awhile once she went back home, but I lost track of her after I got married. I wonder what she's up to these days.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Every region has its quirks.
Nashville, TN : It's extraordinarily important to ascertain whether or not people you come into contact with were "raised right".
Customer to cashier: Thank you
Cashier: I can tell you were raised right because you used manners.
Customer: Yes, If I didn't use my manners, my Momma would whoop me with a fryin pan.
Cashier: Oh Yes!, I had better be polite as well, otherwise my Daddy would tie me to the bumper and drag me down the street.
Customer: You was raised right too!
Every single time I was in a store I heard a variation of that.
It's very important to have a "raised right" story in Nashville, TN.

My dad was stationed in Augsburg, Germany. He was a crack shot so he and a partner were company scouts and on near constant alert during the Cold War years.

I went from 1 year at Campbell to 3 years in Nuremberg. We were stationed out of the old SS barracks, near Zeppelin Field.
