The drawback of being nice to myself whenever I want is tonot become habitually self indulgent.
I didn't take it as snarky at all...just a different way to look at it.

doesn't happen. That would mean you would have to be "good". simply doesn't happen.

That reminds me of that old Sandra Dee/Bobby Darin movie, If a Man Answers:

Actually that makes perfect sense, Mrs Wheeze must have a copy of that dog training book too.

Reward...I don't think I see it as reward..more like 'down' moments when I do just exactly what I enjoy..nothing...read a book, watch a movie..play with my crafts..I would call them ME moments...

Like Nikos, at times it's a icecream, a Butterfinger Blast from Sonic

The most wonderful time I have in my leisure is to get on this comp and search for Bible sites and read or listen to a video. I do this a lot at night before I go to bed. Bonnie and I do not like TV and only watch the news. We do not like movies so we enjoy the Bible sites and the scriptures. Loads of relaxation and spiritual edification.

Then wrap yourself in the Lord and sleep...and awake for the Lord sustained you..

Anytime I have something on my mind that Psalm comes to mind...I used to have a hard time sleeping some nights for worry...not any more..

I wouldn't call it a reward, but I drive over to the ocean and breathe in the fresh air and watch the waves . It brings peace of mind and recharges me.
My favorite is to rent a bike and ride the marina (Marina Del Ray) and Venice beach (LA) and watch weird people go by

Sometimes I use my mileage points and go some place I've wanted to visit but most of the time I give them away to family members.

I want to see the new Trade towers in NYC (renamed freedom towers) when they're finished.
