Personally speaking, I went to many rock and roll concerts in my younger days before I got saved. Bands in the likes of Iron Butterfly, Jimi Hendrex, Grand Funk Railroad, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Bachman Turner Overdrive, J. Geils Band, to name just a few. All this part of my life back then was filled with drugs, alcohol, violence, and deep slavery to sin and darkness.
I would not go to any concerts that would fit in the category of the bands above. I have no desire to visit my past. If I ever did go to any concerts similar to the above list, I would be miserable and depressed, and episodes of my dark past would flood my mind. No Thanks!
"And God has actually given us His Spirit, not the world's spirit, so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us" (1 Cor 2:12).
"If you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God" (Col 3:1).
"For you were called to freedom, brethren, only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another" (Gal 5:13).
"You were running well, who hindered you from obeying the truth?" (Gal 5:7).
I'm not judging anyone here on this forum if they want to go to worldly concerts.
Scripture says to "give no place to the devil" (Eph 4:27). If I went to a concert that was affiliated with my past, I would be doing just that.
