    The Carolinas

So, going on vacation in 1 month to get out of the cold/snow of northern Michigan.

We will be spending a week close to Myrtle Beach SC and then a week at Kitty Hawk NC. Anyone know of anything interesting in those areas during the Christmas season?

Myrtle Beach has some GOOD seafood restaurants. I do know that.

Your timing is good Ezekiel. The coastal Carolinas are wall to wall in the summer but pretty laid back, not very crowded during Christmas.

Charleston is in that area, very historic, probably worth a day trip.

The best restaurants are in North Myrtle Beach and Sara J's in Murrells Inlet, just a little ways south of Myrtle Beach. That's close to Huntington State Park and Brookgreen Gardens, too. Very nice places to visit

There is also a Calabash Seafood on the border of NC/SC in the small town of Calabash. We have eaten there a few times. Very reasonable.
