My dh and I met in Sunday School on February 15. The end of May that year he went off to basic training for the Air Force. We talked on the phone whenever he got a chance to call, but I was in college and working a part-time job and active in church, so his calls kept missing me. One day I got a phone call from his mother! She was calling to pass a message to me from him. He told his mom to tell me that he wanted to marry me as soon as he got back from basic and tech school! We married on September 5 less than seven months after we met. We have now been married for 34 wonderful years!

Rog and I met when I was in Grade 1 and he was in Grade 3, as we shared a split class at our small town school with Grades 1-12 in one building.
We started dating when I was in Grade 7 and he was in Grade 9.
We got married when I was 19, one year out of High School and he was 21.
As of July 17, we've been married for 39 years, but counting from our first date, we've been together for 45 years.
We began our walk with Jesus in 1985, so 30 of our years together have been serving the Lord.
We have a daughter, who has given us a grand daughter and a grand son, and 2 sons, one in a relationship and one single.
It hasn't all been perfect, but we love each other more than ever.

well…
Duane's sister lived across the street from us and was a great friend to my mom. I knew who he was, but didn't actually know him.. same same with him to me.
One of Donna's (sister) boys was killed in a farming accident and she went to my mom for prayer etc. Along the way, Duane met my sister Vicki (3 years younger than me) and asked her out. She freaked because she thought he was too old.. BUT, she and Donna hatched a plan to get Duane and I together.
So, on Labor day they had a BBQ for us to meet.. We got on quite well.. and we've been married 42 years next Valentine's day. (another story..)

Andy and I went to the same church when we were children, and the same high school for one year. (he's 2 years older than me) I remember talking to his sister, and his brother, but NEVER to Andy...he was always pretty quiet. We went the next 20 years without seeing or speaking to one another. A mutual friend encouraged us to contact one another, and sure enough, she was right....we're a good fit. We've been married for 5 1/2 years.

I went for an hour walk and prayed in tongues the whole time, and by the end of the walk, I knew that I knew he was supposed to be my husband. We were immediately engaged and got married a few months later. I got pregnant on my honeymoon (another part of the story....I knew I was going to be pregnant before I knew I was going to marry my husband). We have been married for 23 years as of Aug 22.
He is an amazing husband, father, and man of God. The absolute best.
i dont know.... these mixed marriages r very difficult 2 maintain..... i mean southern baptists and tongue talkers?

i met my better half as i was coming out the other side of a car wash. i was in the finally stage of fluff and dry when she walked past. i took one look and drooled all over myself. i followed her back 2 her dorm and stalked her for days. got arrested by campus security but thankfully she didn't press charges. she thought my blue coat was absolutely adorable. she tolerates the shedding. thankfully she agreed to marry me as long as i understood her and her mother came as a package deal. the rest is history....
