Okay, enough of this. I'm getting tired of it myself actually.

I received a full dose of Pentecostal baptism, according to Acts 2:4, 58 years ago.
Also married my wife 58 years ago.
Also preached my first sermon 58 yrs ago.
And I belonged to a DENOMINATION!

At least he doesn't belong to an abomination. That would have been even worse.

fuego...I apologize...it seems your thread was hijacked. I apologize for participating in the hijack...
I won't add anything other than to say that when I was filled with the Holy Spirit it was totally life changing and life saving...to have His awesome companionship and to be able to just pray in tongues when I realize I really don't know how I should pray...and often when I think I do just in case I am off base!
I love Him and love spending intimate time with Him in the presence of my Lord Jesus.....

I belonged to a denomination when I rededeicated my life to Jesus and got filled with the Holy Spirit at a FGB meeting. The denomination I was in was being swept through by the Charsmatic movement, so my first real taste of being in the Glory was in a big blue and white striped tent with 2x6 raw board benches. Some of the most amazing times at those family camps!
Unfortunately, that denomination was the first in Canada to allow homosexuals in the pulpit and we found a new church home.

I missed a LOT that I would have loved to have know about...I came in sort of on the end of that...I missed Brownsville, I missed much of TACF outpouring...I have no intentions of missing the next sweep if it comes in my lifetime here..

The cool thing about the Charismatic Movement/Renewal, is that it hit small churches and large alike. We didn't have to travel great distances to connect with like minded people within our denomination.
I missed Brownsville, TACF and anything else that happened in those years because we were still raising our family on one income and I couldn't afford to travel. When Lakeland hit, I wasn't going to miss it again, so I just said that I was going and I did. I just wanted to experience being in an outpouring.... it was amazing!!!
