    thinking out loud

In Colonel's thread about "In Iran" he mentioned a psychopathic boss, and it made me start thinking about people from my past, who I think are psychopaths, or at best Narcissistic. How do you handle those people in your lives. We're called to be a witness, to love and show Christ's love, but at what cost?

I've seen some really evil psychopaths get deeply convicted by the Holy Spirit then decide to stay nail tough. Don't try too hard though, let God do the work.

I have seen both kinds as well....I treated them as a Christian should, with respect and humility....it was interesting at times to hear my coworkers talk about them....they seemed to see really bad traits that seemed insignificant to me....but I have been told more than once that I have a very non judgmental nature..

I noticed people who are truly 'Rights' oriented tend to clash more...

I recall 2 pronounced incidences...one I was verbally called on the carpet, saying I had disrespected the President, for being just a minute or two late for a meeting that had not even started yet...after being rude she said, 'we can discuss after the meeting if you want' to which I responded that I would...as soon as I walked into the room where she was she burst into tears and begged me to forgive her....said she had no idea why he did that to me because she Knew I was not a disrespectful person..we hugged and I apologized for being late to the meeting explaining that is something I view as disrespectful as well..

I found out later the President really called her on the carpet for that...and he called me into his office and apologized for her. I told him she and I had reconciled our differences and it was ok...

Another instance a boss was having an affair with a coworker and thought I was trying to stir up trouble against him because I wrote the words, 'This is the day...' on my background lining for my clipboard...He thought it meant that was the day I was going to try to get him fired! Holy Spirit told me when I got to work he was setting me up to get me fired ...He said, 'Do what you know and I have your back'.

Then when he called me into the office he accused me and showed me the quote...I smiled and said, 'James, that is a song I often sing ...'. He apologized and after that was influential in me getting promoted..

Praying in the Spirit, remaining humble, and trusting the Lord has our back is the key...

    Psychopath vs psychopath...

Reminds me of the movie "Mississippi burning" where Gene Hackman's character did something like that.
