Thread: My dog was glowing

I let him out for his last potty run of the night and when I let him back in and turned off the lights he was glowing! LOL...had to hurry and let him back out and brush him off, he must have went through some bushes where some fireflies were congregating.

There have been so many around this year, its so beautiful watching them out at night. :)

In 2006 I waded through a river in Ethiopia because the bridge had fallen down and stood on the bank waiting for the trucks to arrive. It soon became very dark, very still and fireflies was all that existed for a while besides a few locals who probably had their minds on something else though they were waiting like we were. That was a special nature moment. Another one was the moon in a perfect zenit on Cape Verde with nothing around it but stars as I gazed up from the flat beach, making it seem like nothing else existed except outer space. That was in 2012.

What a beautiful video! There is something special about fireflies. We aren't seeing many this year.
