Thread: Bible Rebinding?

    Bible Rebinding?

Any one know of a company that will still rebind a bible? Mine is falling apart. I am in desperate need of getting it rebound.

Sacramento, has BOOK binding, but from what I can tell, no bible rebinding. The local Christian book store stated their referral went out of business.

So I am attempting to broaden my area of search.

Your help and referral would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

As Charles Spurgeon said, “A Bible that’s falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn’t.”

    I bet Bookie would know.

You can look around for book restoration.

    http://thebookdr.com/restoration_repair.html

    http://www.bookrepair.us/pricing_and_services.phtml

The price will depend on condition, type of binding (glued or sewn).

You could even look into DIY...

If you are going to try DIY make sure you use proper materials, glues and tapes designed specifically for books.

When mine started coming apart years ago, we were attending church with an elderly librarian who graciously took it and used some kind of book glue on it and fixed it for me. Still using it today.

I will not attempt to do a DIY, my bible was a gift from my Great Aunt. Its old, she gifted it to me and signed in it, back in 1981. But I have used it through the years. Just would love to "make it pretty" and continue to use it.

Thank you for the links. I will check them out.

Welcome to the forum Marianne, normally we don't allow links for new members but I checked out your site and it looks very nice. Can you share any stories with us about some interesting or very old bibles that you've worked on?
