Thread: One place to go.....

    One place to go.....

I have been asked, where would I like to go? Where...what would I love to see? Of course Israel is the first thing that comes to mind. But it's the wrong time of year and I would prefer to experience it with my siblings. So that is hopefully on the agenda for next year.

So, on that note.....if you could take 10 days, were would you visit? What would you like to see? I ask this, well, because it was asked of me, and honestly......I had no reply. And then I got frustrated because, well, I didn't have a reply. Mostly because I thought that funds for any long trip, was far beyond what I could do, so I never thought about it.

It has been suggested, Spain, Rome, Greece, Ireland, Amazon (you know, Rain forests). There are so many places to see, visit experience, enjoy.

But what is the one place that in on your bucket list? Inquiring minds would love to know.

I've always wanted to see Great Britain. Not sure why, as my ancestry is German/Polish/Ukrainian...

I'd like to see Israel, but for some reason, it's not burning in me, like it is for some people.

I'd like to see Norway, Sweden, Denmark. Not sure why either.

I'd like to drive across Canada, all the way to the farthest east point.

    Greenland and Iceland sound amazing.

Not interested in Asia or India. Africa doesn't interest me either, unless someone wanted to pay my way, I wouldn't say NO.

Icelandair has cheap flights from Toronto to Reykjavik. Go in July if you want a springlike temperature.

I read about glass houses in Finland where you can view the Northern lights....but that is probably the, 'when I win the lottery' trip..

I fly out of Edmonton. That's a 4.5 hour flight to Toronto. But if and when it happens, I'll keep your tip in mind.

You could combine it with the driving trip and leave the car in the airport.

Yes, I would like to go to Israel, but only if we can have THE best tour guide.

Israel is on my everyday list. I live here and I love living here. And besides, I would not be going anywhere.
    So...
I'd like to rent a cottage in the Tuscan region of Italy and explore the countryside.
    Or...
Maybe spend some time exploring the Greek Islands.
    Or...
Plunk myself down in Krugar park and finally see a leopard in the wild.
