I work with Professors and there are hours of preparation for each hour of teaching. It lightens up a little once the course is established, but you still have committee meetings, correspondence with students, grading, writing exams, adjusting things in your curriculum, etc. :)

yeah, it's been a crazy. I started at two new schools, with two new textbooks, and one new learning platform. Plus all the grading of essays, and the dreaded forums.
