So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Facebook, How They Can and Do Use it Against You.
Our local law enforcement agency has been getting some attention for corruption, killings, etc and a by product of that has been some tapes released that reveal how they access facebook accounts, create fake facebook groups to trap, ensnare, hack accounts to convert private info to public.
If you use facebook, you may want to take a listen.
Listen to Officer Mark Lewis talking about hacking into people’s social media accounts and computers.

I saw a fella bragging about getting a shipment of pot on a FB page and reported him to the cops.

The cop was admitting to hacking into accounts, exposing personal information publicly in order to establish probable cause, kinda like "hey I just bought some weed" may have been a private message but if they hack the account and make it public, presto probable cause. Also mentioned was creating fake profiles and communities in order to entrap. Basically a bunch of creepy and illegal things. BTW, this was all in the context of nuking a political foe, not crime fighting.
I wouldn't normally post a link to such a lengthy audio but I figure people should spend at least some time finding out what is going on with FB and LE, considering the amount of time they spend there.

The only thing private anymore is a handwritten letter, personally delivered.
I suppose snail mail is somewhat safe, but can still be intercepted.
People are just stupid if they think the things they do online are private, even though there are a few who know the ins-and-outs of the web well enough to hide themselves. I believe almost anything can eventually be traced.
There always have been and always will be unscrupulous people who don't honor the privacy of others, from peeping toms to internet hackers.

We were just talking about this at dinner.
EVERYthing on just about every electronic device is open to being taken and used.
I agree AJ.. hand written, hand delivered.. that's about it.
Until they copy it, that is! lol

Facebook is a nice watering hole for them though, it's efficient for them to throw a lot of resources at a large central system.
