    I hear ya, Sis!

We shopped for groceries Thurs pm and I guess no one believed the weather forecast as there was no storm run on the store. We usually shop on Wed night, so it wasn't a panic run for us. We had about 2 in of snow mol and it was bitter cold.

Supposed to be back in the 70s here at the end of the week after getting ice and snow yesterday.

Yep! - Our schools probably won't re-open until Tuesday or Wednesday.

    What's "bitter cold?"

    Just to compare.....

Right now it's -13F with a wind chill of -22F here tonight.

We were somewhere between 0F and 3F for our low Fri night. Our highs were around 20F or less for a few days. The predicted highs this coming Wed. and Thurs. are to be at 68F. The nice thing was that it wasn't windy.

I guess it wasn't bitter cold since it wasn't windy!

Don't worry about it CS. We have the snow snobs up in Michigan (krystian, etc) and we now have the cold snob (AJ) who always want to try and prove their cold and snow is much worse than the rest of ours.

This Northern latitude snob doesn't like snow and ice that much. And 0s and 10s is no fun. Admittedly, 30s isn't so bad.

You should invite this guy over for a couple of weeks. He will never wear a hat in 60 F weather after that.

    Whaaatttt.......

I always find it amusing what some consider extremely cold.

    I know it's all relative.

When I was shopping after Christmas and it was nearing -40F in the wind, I saw a guy out in sneakers and shorts with a winter jacket on.

It's going to hang around the colder temps here till Sunday, when it's supposed to warm up to just above freezing, so +33-36F and hang there for the better part of next week. I swear there will be people out in hoodies and teeShirts at those temps. Unfortunately, it going to create a lot of ice as the snow melts, which I DO NOT love. I'd rather it stays below freezing in January, Feb and then start to warm up.
