I haven't made any in years. But this year, I made a personal one between me and God. It's more a goal though than a resolution. :)

I really like what VW wrote on our FB page...forget the resolutions, we need to make New Year's Declarations!

"Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways." (Job 22:28). Rather than listen to someone prophesy to you how your 2017 is going to be, only to get disappointed later when it does not come to pass, why not hear from God for yourself about your new year and then YOU decree and declare how your new year is going to be. You can believe the words of your own mouth than you will the words of some meme on facebook.

Yes, I made several, some are a continuation from last year. They are:

    1. Gain weight
    2. Exercise less
    3. Sleep more
    4. Do less
    5. Waste more time
    6. Waste money
    7. Be more sarcastic

The only one I cannot do is #7, it seems I can't be anymore sarcastic than I already am. I am a master of sarcasim.

Ok, a rare moment of not being sarcastic, I don't make resolutions, I think that sets you up for failure. Like others have said, either "changes, modifications, or goals". Nothing too drastic, but small achievable things. It's easy to make small changes, almost impossible to Make large drastic ones. I think the only exception is when it is a crisis situation, then "sometimes" one can make a drastic change, but even then in the long term they changes don't last.
If you made resolutions, I pray you can keep them and do them. If you are trying to make small changes, may you succeed and rely on the Lord to bring it about. If you don't do either, may you and all the changers and those making resolutions have a Blessed New Year.

Who is "Valiant word"? If you're referring to me...Ain't gonna happen in this life bub. Nothing in the scriptures that says I have to be friends with every Christian.

If you are going to have peace of mind and have a life of victory you must be a friend to good "ole brother Nikos." Mark my words. 2017 is the year!

No, I do Not make resolutions per se', .... I speak my faith!!!

Around midnight and into the early hours of the beginning of the new year, I pray in the Holy Ghost and make affirmations and declarations of what I am trusting and believing God to do in and through my life and ministry in the coming year.

Then I affirm who I am in Christ, what I have in and through Christ, and what I can do through the power of the Holy Spirit working in me, ... Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world!!!

Actually, I do this through-out the entire year, not just to bring in the new year, ... but my normal pattern from bringing in the new year is with prayer and affirmation of the word of God and the ministry of the Holy Ghost!!!

I believe we set the parameters of our lives and our ministry with the words we speak.

Sunday am I preached on "The Best is Yet to Come!!!
