Thread: pastoral call.... {{{SIGH}}}

my wife and i just came out of a southern baptist church after spending 8 years there. i was a elder there for the last 3. i must confess i am glad 2 b out of this church as i was n a constant battle with the principality sitting over the sanctuary. (yes thats what i said) i substituted n another southern baptist church which is Holy Spirit filled and i was teaching on weds nites and some sunday mornings. 2 make a long story short i have been called to pastor there. there are about 10 people n the church and they hired a pastor out of the pentecostal holiness denom who is very authoritarian which is something their not used to. one of the elders there contacted me and asked 4 advice. he admitted they made a bad decision and thought about me. i told them when the Holy Spirit opened up the door i would step in but i would not overstep my bounds and step on this mans toes. i told them 2 wait on the Holy Spirit to make things rite. there's more but i am not at liberty to share it now. keep us n prayer as we wait on the Holy Spirit....

Praying for direction and wisdom for ya.

You should hold out for a mega-church.

I know this is a serious thread...but I misread what you wrote...I read, "they hired a pastor out of the pentecostal holiness deMon who is very authoritarian". Shocked me, and I had to re-read...glad I did.

well guys i must tell u one nite as i was praying about the situation the Holy Spirit gave me a dream/vision and i saw three lions walking around me looking at me. a couple of days later i met with 1 of the elders of the church and as i was talking with him i heard the voice of the Holy Spirit speak 2 me saying those lions i saw were 3 demonic spirits looking to devour that church. so n a way u r right i would say....
