Dr. Leaf has many examples of alleged "vegetables" who have managed to reprogram their brains into functioning close to normal because they worked hard on it. But walking with God starts before healing takes place, it doesn't begin only after.

I only need to have understood who God is and that he lives in us.

Then you call me out as "the expert on everything" based on that and that is nothing but hostility.
I agree, but would add one thought...that, in most cases would be a process. I am reminded of the scripture stating that smoldering flax He won't snuff out..so all He needs is a little willingness and a little faith to begin to open that floodgate of living water...

A few weeks ago sharing with some friends I suddenly saw a dammed up stream, dammed with rocks. I saw one small stone removed and water started to flow just a tiny bit. Holy Spirit said that now He has more 'pressure' to remove the next bigger stone if the person remains willing and in partnership with their transformation.

I know this is true from my own experience, from associated with AA and Al-Anon and just in talking to people bound in sin...if there is an inkling of desire to HEAL, to recover, taking baby steps in faith is the beginning of that process. And more fail when they don't understand it is a process of restoration that requires consistent forward effort but are encouraged that 'it does get easier'...

Walking forwards in hope is part of finding faith for the actual healing.

I find the OP very sad for two reasons..1. God did not design us to be destroyed that way and 2. He is the answer to not being destroyed that way.

Three reasons actually...3. That so many of them don't see enough of Jesus to believe they can be free....

Four reasons actually...4. That some do and choose to reject the only answer...Jesus.

Actually she teaches that there can be a level of healing that takes place based on God's design of the human being...but true transformation only comes from partnering with Holy Spirit in that process. She said this is 'becoming the true you God intended you to be'.

I think this explains how bad people can begin to make better choices and love and forgive and become generous while still rejecting Jesus.
A person can change their academic achievements by learning how to use their brain better...but none of these will bring transformation that can only come from allowing the Holy SPIRIT to lead in the process.

She teaches to switch on the brain process to teachers to help students...

Yes, I agree..and much of the medical gives no hope for healing, only hope to survive...Again Dr. Leaf said early in her practice she was taught that people with damage can only learn to compensate but as she worked with patients she found that was not true...

As I remember it the word was used on KCM but it may have been in reference to how others viewed those patients, I'm not sure.
