    reading facebook posts...

Do you ever read the things people post on facebook that are from unbelievers about God not being real and so much more? Sometimes I wonder how people either do not know a thing about God, The Bible, Jesus, or they only know what they have been told, not told or told twisted untruths. I always mark the source so it won't show on my page. Today I read about God and Allah based on the language only, there is no difference in them, they are the same etc. People are so mislead in this world.

Unbelievers aren't able to understand the things of God. It is painful to read such stuff.

I tend to ignore those posts, I read a post that someone wrote about there being no difference between Christianity and Islam and something about hypocritical Christians and eating pork and homosexuality, (you know, doctrine from the tv show The West Wing) I tried to simply explain the difference between the old testament law and the new covenant and what he was describing was Judaism, not Christianity. He gleaned from that homosexuality was only wrong for the Jews then. I gave up, pearls don't look good on a pig.

A good thing about Facebook (and the Internet in general) is that it has enabled people from completely different backgrounds and worldviews to interact with each other. In some cases, these interactions (coming from completely different sets of assumptions) can become argumentative and unproductive. But one thing that a Christian can always do in such situations is to demonstrate the love of Christ! That is a language that everyone can understand.
