    Lightbulb For The Kroger Fans....

***I realized I left the "s" off of Krogers.

I'm going to share a lil secret right here on the internet.

Let me preface this by saying I have no idea if what I'm going to describe will be coming to YOUR Krogers in YOUR area.

I am privy to a new service Krogers will be introducing, at least here where I live, because my son works there. As a matter of fact, he was tapped to be part of the supervisory team that will put it in place and oversee it. That will put him full time, which is great. He can save some money. He also wants to go to school for cyber security, but that's another matter.

Anywho, I think in order to compete with a new Wegman's down the street, they have to up their game. So what they are going to do, is have a new service where for a $5 or $7 fee (can't recall which it is, might be both depending on a few things), you can call in (or text in, I think) your grocery list, and it will be ready for you when you arrive to pick it up. Man, that will be gangbusters during the holidays, right!?

So, it might not be in your area for now, but it might come at some point, who knows? I know we have some Krogers shoppers here, just thought you guys might want to know about this. BTW, don't go ask your Krogers outside of Richmond, VA, when this is coming, they probably won't have a clue or may not even know anything about it. This is a brand new program, and probably won't be at every Krogers.

I get emails every now and then from Walmart offering the same thing.

Don't know about the price though.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

My S-I-L pulled orders for people who had phoned into the Safeway where he worked. I don't know if people picked up their order or if it was delivered.

Wow, I didn't know that Krogers didn't offer that! It's been a service locally for years and years, at Lowes and Harris Teeter, as well as at Whole Foods. I'm going to start utilizing it after we move.

I don't know of any grocer here in Richmond that offer it. But that's interesting. The Whole Foods definitely doesn't offer it....don't know about Lowes. Harris Teeter, we don't have. I adore HT, though. Great prepared foods.

We don't have Krogers here, but grocery shopping is one of my big entertainments for the week!

I can't believe that your store doesn't offer it, that's a huge market isn't it? Is your store Glen Allen? I looked and it's for sure not there yet.

Here's what it is: http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/serv...nal-shopping-5 - and at WF it's free, not $7 like at Harris Teeter.

I would hesitate to use it because I don't trust them to pick out that best produce or milk with the latest date. I'm kind of a freak about that!

I don't ever see myself using it, so there ya go.
