Spinning this off another thread where Lista is talking about her mother's church... she said this, "This church is FULL of elderly people, so it's possible they didn't even HEAR what he said."
What age group qualifies as elderly?
The other night, Rog and I were going to a movie for my 59th birthday. As we were buying our tickets, the girl at the counter felt it was necessary to ask if we knew what it was about and then go on to warn us that there was violence, nudity and sex.
We almost didn't go see it, but there really wasn't anything else we wanted to see... And it was fine. Yes, there was a short sex scene (we closed our eyes) and violence? You see worse on most crime shows on TV.
What movie you ask? Deadpool with Ryan Reynolds. He always does a good movie, don't think I've seen one he's done that I didn't like. It was funny and well done.
So......... that was the first time anyone has felt they needed to warn these old folks that the movie might be too racy for them.
AND I know that Rog and I are some of the old folks of our church now... Rog is 60 and I'm 59 and we started attending with elementary school age kids when we were about 35 & 33... now our own kids are that age!!!
We started locking our doors at night a couple years ago cuz I said to Rog that we very well could be considered "easy pickin's" but anyone who might like to just walk in, being in our late 50s. We've lived our whole lives in a very safe rural area.
So, what is "elderly?"
