'I really like John' but a week later changed my mind and wanted to delete - why can't it be done

Ya know, maybe if you wrote 'I will always like John'...he might find that option to at least give you 48 hours to figure out if you want a post to stay or go poof. ;)

Well, you could write a paragraph describing the reason for deleting the post. There is no rule that you have to type "delete".

Now that I'm thinking about it, I think we also had a time limit on how long you could edit a post too, don't recall if it was a week or month tho. It was because a few years ago we had some members that had left come back and start 'deleting' all their old posts.

Or even a dissertation on what was going on in their minds at the time of writing the original post and what caused them to subsequently change their thoughts on said subject.
