Death valley, the hottest and driest place in North America, is famous for its spectacular spring wildflower displays: only under perfect conditions does this desert fill with life. Heavy rain last autumn has led to the rare super blooms of 1998 and 2005 being repeated in this Spring

One of the hottest and driest places on Earth is now, for a short while, covered in beautiful yellow, pink and purple wildflowers
Death Valley has wildflower blooms every year, but an unusual series of storms in October has triggered what some call a “super bloom,” seen in these photos. This is the biggest bloom Death Valley has seen in a decade.

That is really interesting. I've seen pictures of desert plants blooming, but nothing like this.

we've had amazing rainfall this year. just what we needed too
I heard a preacher say that our drought was God's judgement... well.. what about now? lol
The desert is fascinating and I love it. Just don't visit in the summer.
