Are you good enough to be an NFL referree?
Take this test to find out:

The test highlights the difficulty of determining what constitutes a "catch" under the present rules.

I disagree with the Darren Fells catch. It should have been ruled a catch then a fumble. And Ted Ginn....that was definitely a catch, his knee was down! We watched the Steeler's game with that crazy catch, so I already knew that one had been ruled a catch.
By the way....you didn't say that this "test" was really more along the lines of, "Did the refs make the right call?"

Yes, I took a bit of "editorial license".
I think the test demonstrates the ambiguity of this one particular rule, and how difficult it is for the referees to make a proper call, and how frustrating it is for the fans of the losing team when the ruling on the field goes against their team.
I do understand it's only a game, but I still would like to see some of the teams that never go far to have some success (e.g., the Lions and the Browns).

The Lions never get far because their offensive line stinks. Poor Stafford never stands a chance.
