Whats That Got To Do With The Price Of Eggs

We have 5.99 the dozen locally. Complaints that big box stores are out. We shop the smaller grocers locally. My brother's meat market (owner/founder) has eggs brought in by farmers that are priced lower yet.

The problem of egg prices has nothing to do wih politics. There is a shortage of eggs , and that makes the price increase.
President Trump has no effect on the prices, and I would not blame him that they are even rising in some places.
But I do not understand why he made on several rallies the promise to get the prices for eggs down.
I guess he believed that it was Bidens fault till he found out this year that it is a matter of the market.

We are lucky enough to have a friend with chickens who sells to me - I can usually get a dozen or so every week. At the local organic store, eggs are running 7.99/dozen. Grocery store is about 5.99. Egg supplies are definitely down both at the regular chain grocery store, and at my local organic store.

The policies here for managing bird flu are about as backwards as the covid policies of the arbitrary 6 foot social distancing rule, and walk only one way through the groceries, and wear a mask outdoors while walking by yourself.

If you look back about 2-4 years, the poultry industry has been under attack with hysteria to mass exterminate entire flocks. We should be asking ourselves why is this the case? We don't mass exterminate humans when one person comes down with covid, or influenza A or RSV. It's entirely ridiculous.

Not to mention the several large egg farms "catching" fire and burning down. This will turn around.

I got an offer on one of my apps for $3.49/doz, just plain old eggs. Limit of 2 though.

As you move up into free range and organic, etc, prices go up into the $9-10 range.

I buy mine from someone who has a few hens for $10 for a flat of 30.

I don't eat eggs, but Roger really enjoys them.

It's said that they're perfect food because the nutrients in them nurture new life.

Nothing like a raw egg cracked into a glass of milk in the morning to start the day.
