    Telephone Books

When was the last time you used one? I was looking at the new Yellow Pages that came and they're a lot thinner than they were a few years ago.

I can understand the White Pages being thinner because a lot of folk dropped their landlines but I'm a little surprised that the Yellow Pages got smaller too.

We get receive at least two different brands of yellow pages every year. Sometimes we keep one but never use it. I haven't had new white pages in years.

I'm not surprised at all. Yellow Pages have always been expensive to place your ad in. So businesses now choose to advertise where they get the greatest return for their money, and that is online. I would bet that 9 out of 10 people go to the internet to search for information on a business. I know I do ALWAYS. Never even think about the Yellow Pages any more. It's all at your fingertips on your computer.

They ceased general distribution here years ago, maybe as much as a decade.

We still get a few each year, but they go straight to the recycling bin.
