Oh, and by the way, they're calling for a TON of snow down here in Virginia on Friday...
Yep, I went to Kroger and "stocked up" yesterday.
People don't understand why we panic about a couple feet of snow, but we get stuck inside for a week, because the roads are impassable for days and days - AND - we lose electricity when there's ice and snow on the power lines, so we need to hunker down with extra food and toidy paper.

That Fuego had just abandoned all corporate prayer and consequently gone mad and started to post gibberish.

Yep. That about says it. There isn't much for weather that keeps us at home, except for a howling blizzard, but Rog still has to go to work in it. There's no snow day for him.
And I've NEVER heard anyone around here panic about "stocking up." It just doesn't make any difference. It's just another day.

A lot of states are poorly equipped to handle snow compared to Canada.
Also, I think they get more ice? which, from what I've been told is a lot worse to deal with
