Yep, I went to Kroger and "stocked up" yesterday.

People don't understand why we panic about a couple feet of snow, but we get stuck inside for a week, because the roads are impassable for days and days - AND - we lose electricity when there's ice and snow on the power lines, so we need to hunker down with extra food and toidy paper.
Amen! I went to Costco and stocked up...even got some bacon and some muffins. Snow means "snow food".

I hope so since I moved to Atlanta two years ago.

Predictions for the next 24 hours:
    1) NYC: 12 to 18 inches
    2) Washington DC: 24 to 30 inches

A foot of snow is not unusual for the NYC metro area; but two feet is highly unusual for DC.
