However, as usual, I don’t have a recipe that includes those ingredients. Let’s face it, I don’t have a clue how to make jam anyway.
I’m looking for a recipe and I’ve found a couple that look good.
Um… I may need some help.
Maybe a recipe or a website with clues for the adventuresome kitchen raider?
I’m going to do this. It may be awful but we will not find out until after. Or it might be awesome.
I’m going to sleep before making the attempt on the principle that if I’m awake I might have second thoughts before doing something obviously wrong.
Yup…
don't do it until you've checked the Ball canning recipes!!!! http://www.freshpreserving.com/

Hmmm..... Normal "mom" and home stuff. Cooking, cleaning, changing diapers, laundry, made appointment phone calls, school with our oldest to prepare for kindergarten in August and got a work out in. Whew.. And still 4.5 hours to go until kids go to bed. I still need to write a couple emails and give baths. And some people think stay strong home moms don't work haha
This thread is really interesting. Very cool idea.

Plums happily boiling on the stove! Plum jam or bust.
Hope I didn't skip anything important or add anything dangerous.

Today was a hot and somewhat humid 92 degrees and I had a wedding to go to. It was at an upscale banquet facility so no problem, everyone has A/C, right? What I didn't realize was that the event was being held under a HUGE tent (300 guests) on their back patio.
The hair only frizzed a little as it was early evening and a cool soft breeze was starting to come in from the river. The food was amazing, lots of fun with family and friends, and a good mix of music that included many older crooner type songs.
Many of the guests myself included later moved to café tables at the waterfront after dinner and enjoyed the freighters and boats cruising by in the moonlight with Frank Sinatra and others serenading us. One of the best weddings I've been to in a long time. :)

I hate formal events held outdoors - rain, humidity, and mosquitoes are not pleasant when you're being forced to wear a suit and tie.

The Plum jam has been getting rave reviews. (As opposed to rage reviews.)
