Just started viewing a study of Romans by Tommy Nelson from Denton Bible Church: Denton, TX

    Here's a 3 min promo.

There are twenty-two 30-45min videos I have access to on RightNow Media | Streaming Video Library of Bible Studies

In the first he goes through Rom 1:1-17 verse by verse. If he keeps that up it will be good.

    This is a description
The most important idea in the Bible is how a Holy God can get a sinful man into Heaven and not compromise who He is. Romans tell us just that! It sits as Master of the House before all of Paul's writings. It is the Bible in miniature. It is the most important singular document ever penned by man and only inspiration could make it so.

In our study in Romans we will look at Paul's unfolding logic and incisive reasoning as to the divinity and holiness of the Christian gospel. When this book has been understood reformation and new life follow shortly. Romans is set at just the perfect pace for any Christian who wants to understand the most central book in the Bible.
A quote from the first video "The righteousness that God's righteousness requires God to require is found in the Gospel".

Another quote looking at Rom 3:21 "But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets"

What is the witness of the Law:

    • What's the Purpose of the Law: to show you your sin,
    • What's the Picture of the Law: that you come to God through shedding of blood by the High Priest,
    • What's the Problem of the Law: that man cannot keep it,
    • What's the Prophesy of the Law: that Jesus is coming,
    • What's the Promise of the Law to Israel: I'm giving you a Messiah,

Selling a 1952 Studebaker Champion but the buyer backed out. Went home and mowed the yard. Yeah, that works. I really want to go camping.

Another home improvement project. Back door mudroom is getting new subfloor and covering, new washing maching and I'm installing a new washer hook-up box. I am not a carpenter or plumber but when you own a historic 110yr old home...
