Thread: NEUMC has voted to disaffiliate from the United Methodists.

This is a relief to my parents who have been working towards this for months. Their members jumped through every possible hoop put out to them, but ended up with the 2/3 majority to keep their church building. From what I understand, there will be another vote at conference. I asked if they would be affiliating with one of the new Methodist groups, but they are uncomfortable that these groups seems to be setting up the same types of government that they have "escaped from" They are considering a non-denominational church, a community church. Please pray for this congregation of Bible believing Christians as they listen for God's next instruction.
