    Worst states for deer collisions

    -The chances of hitting a deer while driving are the same as last year, but the cost is up – the average deer strike claim is $4,135, up 6 percent from 2014 ($3,888), according to State Farm.

    Odds of a Bambi collision are 1 out of 169, but that likelihood doubles during deer season, from October to December. In West Virginia, the state where deer collisions are most likely, the odds are 1 in 44, up almost 11 percent from 2014, State Farm says.

    I'm pretty sure that Michigan is in the top 10, we're at 1 in 97 odds.

    I have hit a deer once in my life. They jump out so quick you don't even have a chance to react. One second it's not there and the next second they're filling your windshield.

    According to the map California has the odds of 1 in 1,048...guess you don't have too many deer there especially in the heavily populated areas.

    No we don't. They are mostly up in the high sierra mountains or way way up north where it's mostly wilderness

    The tree huggers would have a nervous breakdown if someone shot a deer
