Thread: Did you take down your Christmas things yet?

Did you take down your Christmas things yet?

Just about every year I see a Christmas tree at the curb the day after Christmas and know of folk who take down their artificial trees right away too. Mine things don't come down until at least after New Year's, I enjoy the ambience too much. :)

No, I'll wait till New Years Day or the day after, probably. Of course, I don't have much up anyway.

I was soooo tempted to take everything down and pack it back up in the attic today, but I know Hunny will say leave it up for a few more days.

No we didn't take down the decorations yet, we have yet to put them up. DW worked one day every weekend in December so she was not in the mood. Although Christmas night she said she wish she had, I know we will next year.

We usually leave ours up till after Ukrainian Christmas and New Year, Jan 7 and 14. So sometime after that.

All we did this year was the tree (and Rog always does that), no extra ornaments except for outside, some lights and garland, but nothing fancy-shmancy.

The only thing I put out was a 10 inch artificial tree with a burlap wrapped "root ball". I got it at Target for $3. I have some pretty mini decorations I was going to put on it but never got to it. It is prettier than it sounds, I may just keep it out for a bit.

I'm so tired of fighting little bit over touching the ornaments on the tree, that I may take it all down tomorrow.

Our two year old grandson didn't bother with the tree at all when they were here... and he's a real busy body.
