Thread: Are you changing your life because of high gas prices?

  1. #11
It's still winter in Michigan but yesterday after noticing the huge jump in gas prices I decided not to let my car idle to keep me warm while waiting for something.

It makes me wonder if people will stop using their remote starters to warm up or cool down their vehicles this year.

That is sad. I hope this will wake most people up. Maybe wishful thinking?

A lot of leftist will brush this off or shift the blame no matter what. They can never face the truth.

Now it's all Putin's fault. We know that is a LIE. Gas was already high.

On average, gas was $2.35 a gallon when Trump left office. FACTS.

I'm working out of town for several days, but my brother called me and said gas was over $6 a gallon, so there will have to be some adjusting.

He looked at getting a Tesla. They were $35,000, now they're around $42,000. You can't win sometimes.

I think Hyundai is coming out with electric options. I may look at one when I get home.

    God, wake this country up!

In the shadow of the upcoming slaughterfest at the polls, yes.

I'm seeing how the quote "we're about to go into a dark winter" or "cold dark winter" could possibly play out with a government who manipulates and gaslights its own people into thinking others are responsible for our circumstances and fate.

There's not much we CAN change. We live 25 miles away from the city we go to for shopping and church. And we never have gone in just on a whim... I do as much of my shopping on a given day and try to book appointments for those days, too. Makes for some busy days in the city, but saves on gas. I've always tried to be conscientious about gas usage as it's a pretty big expense when you live so far out.

I know what that's like. For two years we pastor/helped a rural church that became necessary to rent a home closer. That move (2017-2019) put us that same distance away from the next nearest town with resources. We had a Dollar General 10mi away where we could do in-betweener stuff.
