I am suddently after decades on the other side

I am suddently after decades on the other side, and again it seems the wrong side.
When I was in my early twenties I wanted to travel but had no money. And I wanted to avoid typical tourist attractions.

In 1980 I travelled for the first time during a month through Poland and Hungary. It was very cheap to travel there by myself, I always felt safety and by travelling alone I got to meet and talk spontanously with many people. The biggest problem was the languages (polish is crazy) and also there was little infrastucrure for tourists. Mostly I found a room in a private home.

During this time of the Iron Curtain I also visited the Czeck Republik, Hungary and East Germany and had the great opportunity to attend church services and to talk with sisters and brothers in Christ.
After the fall of the Iron Curtain I have been to more countries like Romania, Moldavia, Ukraine, Armenia, etc. Now it was easy to connect with christians and I was not controlled like earlier.
I also was 1982 in Cuba for 2 weeks visiting a family. I did not see very much of Cuba, but i saw how people lived under Castro.
Since 3 years I am a missionary in Albania, the country in Europe that suffered the most under communism. I have heard so much from elderly people how it was back in those times.

During many years I was in the swiss delegation of my church visiting european conferences. They were in the past 20 years mostly in eastern countries so that more people could attend. I have had so many chances to talk with people from eastern countries, I have learned so much from them. Just last saturday we had a zoom-prayer meeting with several women from eastern countries

I quickly learned not to tell everybody where I was travelling. To often I was called a communist and was insulted. For most people it was hard to understand my curiosity. I never wanted to become a communist and I value our freedom and democracy.

That was for 42 years, and now being critical about communism, about Lutschenko and Putin, etc and I now seem to be on the wrong side again.
I am very surprised to read how christians think and talk about Putin. Yes, some even like him.
I am wondering what changed peoples option? For me this is very strange.

You primarily express opinions that agree with globalist agenda, WEF, Klaus Schwab, etc. Putin is not a globalist, in fact globalists have demonized him for years, so I see once again in regards to Putin, you are singing the same Globalist tune.

For an American's opinion, the majority are wanting only minor (if at all) involvement with the Russian/Ukraine conflict. You won't find any Putin supporters in my circles of friends.

AP-NORC poll: Most in US oppose major role in Russia strife

Yep, that's the thing here. Why are we meddling yet again in affairs of others at our expense. There is zero upside for Americans here. Biden is already blaming the "situation in Ukraine" for his failed leadership.

CBS is already reporting that Ukraine is the reason for Bidenflation.

I agree. I think in the moment it is first up to Europe to get involved. Now this happens with embargos. I wish that the US holds back with intervention or weapons.
    That is not my point.
What I do not understand is how people think well of Putin.

well if you think Putin is demonized ....
And my opinion about Putin, Luschenko etc are based on connections with brothers and sisters in eastern countries and not on a globalist agenda.

Well , I have to agree a tiny little bit with global thinking. I always have loved to meet and know christians all over the globe.

And it is a poor side of me, but I have never cared much about K.Schwab and the WEF meetings every year in Davos,Switzerland. So I can not argue about what happens there and what is said. I am sure you no more about that.

In another thread you accused Putin of persecuting Christians, that isn't true. Putin actually encourages Christianity. I'm not sure why you continue along this vein. It's just propaganda.

It's a simple case of values. Look at their world view.

Lies again. Putin wants only one version of Christianity in his country. All other branches are being asked to leave. It's the compromised Orthodox Russian church. They recently baptized this murderer and gave him good standing in their backslidden church. So John you have been fact-checked again and of course, failed. You give this satan a free pass if he agrees with your Globalist conspiracy craziness. Who put the wolf in charge of this forum ?
