I understand your frustration but I don't believe John is a wolf.

I am trying to sit in the middle and can see extremes on both sides. It certainly is dividing believers and churches but somehow we need to maintain unity with genuine Christians.
One of my good friends called me deceived because I disagreed with his anti vaccine stance as well as other stuff about Covid and the media

There is alot of deception going around from all camps

I asked him to delete my identity and he plays games with me, He is a delusionary one-sided conspiracy nut. There is a good church I would like to attend but they have bought into this Globalist elite conspiracy garbage like John. It is like a witchcraft spell has been cast onto them. When the big leader falls from being obsessed with this it's going to send a shock wave throughout the river churches in the USA. John will blame some conspiracy theory on it though. I am leaving here as soon as he stops playing and deletes my account.... Blessings to you

It's Propaganda to say that Putin supports Christianity. He supports Christianity so long as they don't engage in "extremist" activity. One such extremist activity is sharing your faith outside the church. Look up "Yarovaya law" Yarovaya law - Wikipedia It was a law passed as an "anti terrorism" measure that has an "anti-evangelism" provision. So, if you think Russia has freedom of religion, you would be wrong.

I think the disconnect is how we define "persecution". Even here in the US most pastors won't jeopardize their 501-3-C's to take political stands, an argument could be made that we are under "persecution" but again, for sake of debate it would be better to first define what persecution is from a biblical perspective.

Are you being persecuted for Preaching Christ and Him crucified? Are you being persecuted for supporting political views? There is a difference and I don't think it correct to blur those lines, even though propaganda machines are very quick to do so.

Re-read what I wrote. I was directly answering your comment that Putin supports Christianity, which he does not. Whether or not they are persecuted depends on what happens to them when they "break the law" by evangelizing outside their government sanctioned church.

My answer in regards to tschaus post directly addressed "persecution". Putin is not an enemy of the church per se but does wield power over how it is used politically, just like US. But again, without defining "persecution" there is nothing to talk about. The Russian law you linked to heavily addresses "missionaries" which are widely used as cover for other activities.

The church is definitely a target here in gaining consent for war, the neo-cons are expert at that manipulation, it was almost nauseating watching the evangelical community turned into cheerleaders for the Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan excursions. Shameful really. But, hey, do it again, pick a side and you'll be OK, just don't advocate for peace, you'll be deemed a wolf.

War pandering is just a temptation of the flesh, get all riled up, make a decision, it's so predictable.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

If the notion of peace appeals to you, I suggest you speak up now, they were jailing pastors over face masks and social distancing, no telling how far they will go to keep the war drums beating.

Yes and the Ukraine Invasion was the exit ramp the liberal tyrants needed to back out and not appear failures in the "war" against covid to their shrinking, shrivelling constituency. Putin was exactly what they needed.
