    Picket Line

I'm on day two of being barred from work.
The trash is piling up again, and this time it's not weather related.
We are honoring a picket line that is in front of our gate at the Bellevue yard.
Teamster strikers from Republic Services San Diego have come up from California and
are hunkered down at four Republic Service yard's here in the Pacific Northwest.
I don't know how long this will last, so I'm back at home unable to work.
During the snow days of missed work I was able to use sick pay to cover for my days off.
There is no compensatory pay for honoring a picket line though.

I hope it works out for the best Smitty!

I don't have any strong opinions on unions. I don't think they would exist if employers were pro-active instead of "hey, we have to beat the numbers this quarter".

You can forget about unexpected repair costs with an extended service contract for your Saab. Many vehicle repairs can cost thousands of dollars in unexpected expense, now may be the time to consider an extended service plan for your vehicle.
